BURN IN AND TEST BOARDS >CHANNEL TEST CARD (FB-DIMM TESTER) CHANNEL TEST CARD (FB-DIMM TESTER)The Channel Test Card, designed by Intel ®, is an FB-DIMM (fully buffered DIMM) memory channel with standard routing and stackup, but without a host controller. The CTC allows evaluation of real-world FB-DIMM traffic without the usual need to wait for development of a supporting platform.  DEVELOPED FOR THE FUTUREThe CTC allows evaluation of real-world FB-DIMM traffic without the usual need to wait for development of a supporting platform. It offers a simple USB interface to the host PC with on board SMBus controller, voltage regulators and clock generators. Intel ® is developing software and example tests for the CTC. CTC tests will be portable to platforms using a CTC API. This allows rapid evaluation of FB-DIMM in a system-like environment with an upgrade path to real systems when they are available. CONNECTIVITYThe CTC has slots for one virtual host and eight FBD modules. There is one on-board programmable reference clock (100 MHz, 133 MHz, 167 MHz, or 200 MHz), four on-board programmable power supplies, and one 3.3V fixed-voltage power supply.
